Hot rolling produces the pipe as one continuous piece with no weld seam, no pores and no slag inclusions. This eliminates the failure modes of welded pipe — seam cracking, leakage and performance loss at the weld zone. The wall structure is uniform and dense, so pressure resistance is significantly higher than welded pipe of the same specification, handling working pressures above 25MPa.
The chromium, nickel and molybdenum content is adjusted by grade so the surface forms a stable passive film. This resists attack from oxygen, acids, alkalis, seawater, salt spray and industrial corrosive gases. Grade 316L is specified for chloride-rich environments such as marine, chemical pickling and sewage treatment. Grade 310S is specified for high-temperature oxidation.
Solution annealing at high temperature gives the pipe stable mechanical properties with limited thermal deformation and creep. Grade 304 handles continuous working temperatures up to 700°C. Grade 310S handles temperatures above 1000°C without significant loss of tensile strength or structural stiffness. Typical uses include boilers, heat exchangers and high-temperature flue pipes in thermal power systems.
CNC hot rolling lines control diameter, wall thickness and roundness to tight tolerances, with high straightness and smooth inner and outer surfaces. The uniform metallographic structure avoids work hardening defects. The pipe can be cut, bent, punched, grooved, welded and polished with a high finished-product yield, reducing secondary processing loss.
Stainless steel is 100% recyclable with no pollutant emission, meeting low-carbon and environmental requirements. Because the pipe resists corrosion, high temperature and aging, it does not need frequent replacement or repeated anti-corrosion maintenance. Over the full service life, operating cost is lower than ordinary carbon steel and welded pipe.
Production follows ASTM A312, EN 10216 and GB/T 14976. Inspection covers raw material incoming check, hot rolling forming, heat treatment, non-destructive testing, dimension verification and final packaging.
